Increase in parcel thefts |

Dear Resident We have seen a number of reports of parcels being stolen after being left on doorsteps following delivery. Please help protect your deliveries by following these simple steps: Track your parcel and use delivery notifications so you know when it is due to arrive. Arrange for delivery to a safe place, trusted neighbour, family member, or designated collection point if you won't be home. Use doorbell cameras or CCTV where possible. These can act as a deterrent and help identify offenders. Don't leave parcels in view. If delivering to a neighbour, ensure they store the parcel securely. Look out for your neighbours, particularly elderly or vulnerable residents, and let them know if you see a parcel left unattended. If your parcel is stolen, report it to the retailer and delivery company immediately and retain any CCTV or doorbell footage that may assist enquiries. If you witness suspicious behaviour around properties or notice individuals targeting delivered parcels, please report it via 101 or online. In an emergency, always call 999.
