Failsworth Neighbourhood Update – Youth Anti-Social Behaviour

Failsworth Neighbourhood Update – Youth Anti-Social Behaviour

This evening we have received numerous reports of youth anti-social behaviour across the Failsworth area, particularly around Tesco car park, Brierley Avenue, Lord Lane and Clive Road.

Reports have involved large groups of young people gathering and behaving in an anti-social manner. Later in the evening, we have also received reports of youths setting off fireworks, causing concern and disruption to local residents.

Failsworth Neighbourhood Officers have been actively attending these incidents throughout the evening, engaging with those involved, carrying out patrols in the affected areas and taking appropriate action where necessary.

We would ask parents and guardians to be aware of where their children are this evening and to speak with them about their behaviour, particularly around respecting the local community and the impact that anti-social behaviour can have on others.

Thank you to everyone who has reported incidents to us. Your information helps us identify problem areas and deploy officers where they are needed most.

If you witness anti-social behaviour, please continue to report it via 101 or through the GMP website. Always call 999 in an emergency or if a crime is taking place.

We will continue to maintain a visible presence in the area and work with partners to address these concerns and keep our communities safe.
