Arrested and charged!

Officers responded to a report of a shop theft at a local supermarket after three plants were stolen.

The suspect ran from the store and through the car park before being pursued on foot by an officer who was nearby. Following a short chase, the suspect was detained and arrested.

The offender was later remanded in custody and appeared before court, where they received a 12-month Conditional Discharge.

The plants were recovered unharmed, although any hopes of a flourishing career in gardening appear to have been firmly uprooted. 🌱🚔
