Theft from Motor Vehicles 🚗

Dear residents, 

We've seen an increase in Theft from Motor Vehicles around the Ordsall and Salford Quays area recently. Theft from motor vehicle is when someone steals items from inside a vehicle, such as mobile phones, wallets, loose change, clothing or other personal belongings. In many cases thieves will smash the windows of the vehicle to access the goods, leaving the victim with damage and loss of personal items. 

You can help protect your property by:

✅ Removing all valuables from your vehicle. Anything that requires staying in the vehicle keep out of sight !
✅ Locking all doors and closing windows and sunroofs.
✅ Taking keys with you and never leaving them inside the vehicle. Never leave your vehicle running unoccupied even if you're just popping away
✅ Parking in well-lit, busy areas where possible.
✅ Double-checking your vehicle is secure before walking away.

Remember: Hide it. Lock it. Keep it.
