🚔 No Insurance? That's the Scoop! 🍦

While out on mobile patrol during the recent hot weather, PC Morris and PC Chadwick spotted an Audi A4 travelling along Deane Road. Checks on the vehicle revealed it was showing as having no insurance.

Unfortunately, the vehicle was travelling in the opposite direction and, by the time officers had turned around, it had melted away from sight faster than an ice cream on a summer's day.

Not ones to get into a sticky situation, the officers continued patrolling the local area. It wasn't long before they found the Audi parked on double yellow lines outside Milk Maids, with the driver seemingly trying to chill out with an ice cream.

Sadly for the driver, while the ice cream was covered, the car wasn't! 🍦🚗

As a result, the vehicle was seized and the driver was reported for driving without insurance.

This serves as a reminder that, as temperatures rise, our commitment to keeping the roads safe remains cool, calm, and collected. Whether it's rain, shine, or a heatwave, we'll continue to patrol your neighbourhood and take action against those who choose to ignore the law.
