Police Update – Traffic Enforcement on Castlemere Street

Neighbourhood officers have recently carried out targeted patrols on Castlemere St, following reports of vehicles contravening the one-way system.

During these patrols, officers have observed a number of motorists disregarding the clearly marked one-way restriction, creating a risk to both other road users and pedestrians. Enforcement action has been taken where appropriate, including the issuing of warning notices and fixed penalty tickets.

We would like to remind all drivers that one-way systems are in place to improve safety and traffic flow. Ignoring these restrictions can lead to collisions, congestion, and puts others at unnecessary risk.

Officers will continue to monitor the area and further enforcement will be carried out where breaches are identified.
