Dear Resident,
Today’s Police Surgery at Leigh Indoor Market went ahead as planned, with the added support of an officer from Wigan Council’s Community Resilience Team.
The event was well attended, and a wide range of issues were raised and dealt with on site. Officers were also able to gather a significant amount of useful intelligence throughout the session.
During the Surgery, a member of the public handed in a mobile phone and inhaler that she had found in the market toilets. Shortly afterwards, a young girl and her mother approached the stall to ask whether these items had been handed in. They were delighted to be reunited with the lost property almost immediately—an outcome that was warmly received by everyone present.
Overall, the Surgery was very well received and considered a great success.
