Neighbourhood Policing Week

Dear reader, 

I would like to update you on our recent activity during the National Neighbourhood Policing Week which took place between 23rd-29th June. 

Our Neighbourhood police officers and police community support officers (PCSOs) work at the heart of the community to deliver the best possible service and keep people safe. By working closely with local people and partners, our team strives to make communities safer, improve the quality of life for ordinary people, and prevent crime and distressing issues like anti-social behaviour.

During this week our team…

👮 Conducted a joint warrant with the RSPCA regarding animal cruelty offences which resulted in one arrest.

👮 Supported our Neighbourhood Crime Team investigating recent business burglaries in the area, by pursuing several lines of enquiry which remain ongoing. 

👮 Attended community events including, Ramsbottom Food Bank, Purbeck Park and the Incredible Edibles. 

👮 Gathered and submitted intelligence provided by members of the community who approached officers. 

👮 Conducted high-visibility patrols in areas known for drug-dealing and ASB.

👮 Attended multiple reports of abandoned vehicles and graffiti, making enquiries regarding the legitimacy of vehicles and liaising with partner agencies to remove graffiti.
