A vehicle was spotted driving erratically in the Spotland area before being abandoned as the driver attempted to flee on foot. The male suspect was swiftly detained and arrested for multiple offences. 

At police custody, the driver failed to provide a sample of breath for analysis when requested. 

He has since been charged with driving without a valid licence, having no insurance, possession of Class A substances, and failing to provide
