The Leigh East Neighbourhood team, Special constables and DVLA have been in on Queensway in Leigh today.

The area is regularly brought to our attention due to the manner of driving in the Higher Folds area.

Officers were carrying out speed checks, insurance checks and ensuring registration plates conformed to standards.

A number of vehicles were stopped by officers for a variety of road traffic offences which have lead to arrests, prosecutions, seizure of vehicles and registration plates.

2. Excess speed 39mph
3. No business insurance
4. None UK licence check
5. Expired licence
6. 2 x Ghost registration plates discovered (unreadable by cameras)
7. No vehicle insurance
