Operation AVRO has returned to Oldham for 2025. Operation AVRO is our forcewide monthly blitz on local crime which runs in a different district each month.

This morning, our officers and staff attended an early morning briefing ahead of the operation which has so far seen 14 arrests together with a number of warrants and enforcement visits conducted around Hollinwood and Broadbent.

The day has continued with traffic operations in Chadderton and speaking with schools on topics such as knife crime and anti-social behaviour. 

Our teams are now deployed across Oldham, ready to fight crime and tackle the issues that matter most to you.
