My Name is Chris Daniels and I am the local Police Community Support Officer for Bickershaw. I work within the larger neighbourhood policing team which covers Abram ward.

We have recently had an uplift in subscription to “Bee in the Loop” and I thought it would be beneficial to send out a little update.

Recently there has been a increase in reports of thefts of parcels in the area and I wish to reassure you that the issue is being looked into by Greater Manchester Police. 

There has been an increase in both uniformed and plain clothed patrols in the area as we work to combat the issue. 

In the meantime, if you are not able to take delivery of your parcels in person please check your delivery instructions and ensure you have provided an alternative address or safe place for these packages. 

We have been working closely with your neighbourhood watch scheme to identify issues which occur on the estate in the hope that we can work together to make a safer community,
