PC VIPOND and MURRAY from the town centre neighbourhood team sighted this Renault Leguna on The Rock in Bury; the driver didn't want to stick around and thought he could get away by driving through a multi-storey parking lot. He then stopped for a green light before moving off again, his luck ran out when he tried to drive into another parking lot that was blocked off. He was requested to provide a sample of breath at the roadside, the legal limit is 0.35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath, he blew 0.117 micrograms at the roadside that's over 3 times the legal limit!
As a result of this the driver was arrested for the following offences;
Alcohol forms part of the "fatal 4" that are serious contributing factors to that result in death or serious injury on the roads, there is no excuse for getting behind the wheel of a car whilst intoxicated!
