We like most area in Oldham suffer from anti-social drivers, many of which aren’t just anti-social but are totally dangerous drivers.

Greater Manchester Police have had a Road Traffic Operation running for quite a while now which attempts to address these drivers by giving them warning letters or even prosecution. 

Members of the public are encouraged to send in their Dash Cam footage along with a report of what type of incident it was that caused them concern.

From August 2023 to January 2024, compared to the same period the year before, we had an 85% increase in the total of positive outcomes (1,563).

Reports made relate to the ‘Close Pass’ of cyclists, the manner of driving including no seatbelt, use of a mobile phone or running a red light, alongside speeding, using the hard shoulder or irresponsible parking through obstruction by blocking junctions and pavements.
