A bit of crime prevention advice for you on lock snapping.

What is Lock-Snapping?

Lock snapping is very common method used by burglary to break into a property that is secured by a euro cylinder lock.

It can take just 5-10 seconds for a thief to snap the lock on your door!

Euro lock cylinders are fitted to most UPVC doors. Whilst you may think that all the multi-locking points on your door make it secure, it’s important to know that they are all operated by the cylinder -this is the weakest point and if compromised all the locking points are rendered useless.

AND THAT NICE CAR YOU’VE GOT……. COULD BE GONE IN SECONDS!!!

How can I prevent being a victim of “lock-snapping”?

Fit a cylinder lock which has 3* Star rating of TS007 or SS312 standard. Having your locks replaced is small price to pay to prevent being a victim of burglary.
