Partnership Working in Radcliffe

We’ve had a busy start to the week again, with lots of appointments, partnership working, and community engagement.

On Tuesday, we attended two addresses on St John’s Court with Guinness Housing. One visit regarded ‘cuckooing’ concerns, where we checked on the welfare of one of the tenants. Fortunately, all was good, and we managed to seize an offensive weapon from the flat which was linked to a previous investigation. With the other flat, we are looking into Tenancy Enforcement with Guinness to try and problem-solve the ASB there.

We then attended a number of ongoing incidents including begging, a wanted person, and ongoing ASB & vandalism. As part of that, we found time to go see Incredible Edible on Belmont Road and speak with the volunteers there.

After that, Irwell Valley Housing joined us on patrol around Victoria Street again. We visited lots of addresses in an effort to try problem-solve issues from a multi-agency perspective.

Then today we attended a community meeting at Waverly Place. Whilst there, we responded to a nearby ‘public emergency.’ Once this had been processed, we joined Bury Response at another 999 call on Green Street, which resulted in the arrest of a male for a public order offence.
