TfGM road safety survey last chance to have your say

Dear Resident

Please find below from our partners Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM).

There’s just one week left to give your thoughts to a vital survey to help shape the future of our roads.

Greater Manchester is taking steps towards adopting Vision Zero, which aims to eliminate all deaths and life-changing injuries on the region’s roads by 2040. It comes after a total of 852 people killed or seriously injured across Greater Manchester in 2022. In the same year, 76 people were killed or suffered serious injuries on the roads of Tameside.

TfGM are currently drafting a Vision Zero Action Plan which will help guide activity to achieve the ambition of zero fatalities and life-changing injuries on GM roads by 2040.

Give your views

TfGM are looking for your thoughts and feelings on the proposed actions in the draft Vision Zero Action Plan. This is an opportunity for everyone to help shape the Vision Zero Action Plan. No decisions have yet. The survey will run until 27 June 2024.

The online survey can be found here

People who would prefer not to complete the survey online can request support to complete the survey in an alternative format by contacting TfGM Customer Contact Centre on 0161 244 1000 or emailing saferroads.group@tfgm.com.

More information about Vision Zero is available on GMCA’s dedicated webpage

Many thanks
