A male was arrested for a drink/drive offence after failing a road side test following an RTC. The male had been to the Man United v Sheff Utd football match and was travelling along Chester Rd towards the M60 when he attempted to change lane and bumped into a vehicle stationary at a set of lights. The vehicle had an off duty officer driving it and upon speaking to the male, had immediate concerns after smelling intoxicating liquor on the drivers breath and so called the on duty police and took the car keys from his possession. The male blew 4 times over the limit and was arrested. The scary part is that he was intending to drive back home to Birmingham in that state. Further enquires revealed he didn't have insurance or a full licence !! Officer is fine but a little miffed over the damage to his car!!!
